Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Land Surface/Vegetation Modelling School of Earth and Environment
The Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science at the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds seeks a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Land Surface/Vegetation Modelling.
We welcome applications from academics that have expertise in biosphere-atmosphere-climate interactions, dynamic vegetation modelling, modelling climate impacts on vegetation and crops, or interactions between land surface, atmospheric dynamics and atmospheric composition. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Institute's research profile and to its management and development. You will also be expected to contribute to research supervision and to teaching on topics related to biosphere-Earth system interactions in our BSc Environmental Science programme. You will work closely with the biosphere-atmosphere and climate impacts groups within Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS) and exploit existing links within Leeds with the School of Geography and Faculty of Biological Sciences.
With a doctoral degree, you should have a strong publication record, show evidence of research income generation together with teaching experience, and show strong vision for the future.
